“Brush” up on your painting skills, “Draw” out your imagination, or bring a little “color” into your life creating art with your toddler!. We offer incredibly unique art classes for children they we know they will love.

Children's Art Classes

 

Creativity is a process of original thinking and every child can benefit from it. We strive to provide a safe but exciting environment for children to explore their creative side. The more your child uses their imagination the more they will be able to invent multiple solutions to become excellent problem-solvers in not just art, but any subject for any profession they choose in life.

Not only will they be developing their right brain, but also hand eye coordination and fine motor skills through practicing a variety of techniques. We strongly believe in using artist grade paints, brushes, glues and other materials so their projects will be vibrant and last over many years. 

HAPPY HANDS ART CLASS

(Suggested ages 3-5)

Your child will explore a wide variety of subjects from rockets and robots to famous artists by learning to paint, draw, collage and sculpt. Tactile materials like clay, wax strings, oil pastels and acrylic paints will help your child enjoy learning the basic principles of art and invite them to think creatively with a new project each week

ART INSPIRED BY STORIES

(Suggested ages 3-5)

Get inspired by reading short poems and books! This class uses mixed media to express concepts learned after reading some classic children’s stories as well as contemporary literature.

SKETCHBOOK PORTFOLIO

(Suggested ages 3-10)

Create a collection of work and explore a new book theme each session. Here are just a few of the sketchbook titles: “Fantasy”, “Seasons”, “The Me Book”, “Adjectives” and “Animals”. Paintings, drawings and collages related to the theme are mounted into a large presentation book to store and enjoy.

SKETCH AND PAINT TECHNIQUE

(Suggested ages 6-12)

This painting class will help your child develop their own sense of artistic style. We will be working on abstract concepts, landscapes, portraits and still life sketches and paintings. Children will learn basic techniques.

MIXED MEDIA- painting, drawing, collage and sculpture

(Suggested ages 6-12)

With a different project every week, this class teaches many skills. Mixed media uses multiple materials and techniques to create a final masterpiece each class. So get ready to twist and squeeze clay, stamp with sea sponges or squish paint with saran wrap!

SMARTIST ARTIST- Learn a new artist each week

(Suggested ages 6-12)

This class will focus on famous artists, artistic styles and important periods in art. Your child might paint a mini Impressionist painting, sculpt a bold Modern work of art or recreate classical studies from the Renaissance period. If your child wants to expand their knowledge of art history, then this is the class for them.

Class Information

EARLY REGISTRATION

Register early before the first Fall session to receive 20% off all single classes and sessions!  Announcements will be made through our newsletter and coupon codes will be available on the website and on the registration order form.

JOIN US AT ANY TIME

Missed the first few classes of a session? You can still join, just tell us when you want to begin and we will prorate the remainder of the session. Must have at least 1/2 of the session left otherwise drop-in classes are available.

REFERRING FRIENDS

Referring friends not only makes it a lot more fun, but you can earn credits that you can use for any of your classes, camp or birthday party plans.

DROP-IN POLICIES FOR ALL CLASSES AND CAMP

Schedule your drop-in classes by registering for 1 or more individual classes online. The reservation must be made by 3 PM the day before OR you can schedule several drop-ins in advance.  Drop-ins scheduled or cancelled after 3 PM the day before you plan to attend class are subject to a $10 late fee.

MISSED CLASSES

Did you know that you can invite a friend to a different class to do a make-up for you? Friends must schedule in advance as well and fill out our registration form and schedule the drop-in the day before or earlier. Missed classes in a session can only be made up if you have notified us of the absence by 3pm the day before your missed class or camp by email or written note. Verbal notification during class is not always recorded or remembered. Classes can only be made up in the same session or can be credited towards summer.
